Venue: Classic Hotel Mercure Leysin
The 2011 CHIPP Annual
Plenary Meeting will take place on 1st and 2nd September 2011
at the Classic Hotel Mercure in Leysin. The meeting will start at 10 am on the
first day and end at about 4.30 pm on the second.
The Classic Hotel Mercure
Leysin is a 4-star hotel in the centre of Leysin, which is seated at 1250m
above sea level on a large terrace above the Rhone Valley. The seminar rooms
are equipped with all the usual technology including Swisscom W-LAN access
(free of charge). All hotel rooms (standard, superior) have a nice view and are
equipped with bathrooms, telephones, radio and TV; superior class rooms have
also a balcony. The in- and outdoor restaurants serve nice food. An indoor
swimming pool and a hammam are located just 200m away
from the hotel and can be used free of charge by the hotel guests. A sport
arena can be found 200m below the hotel, offering tennis, football, fitness or
wall climbing facilities. A cable car connects Leysin with La Berneuse mountain
peak, offering a wide variety of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. For more

Access:
A cog wheel tramway (1 service per hour) connects the
railway station of Aigle with Leysin. Approximate travel times to Leysin are as
follows:

Accommodation and registration:
The block booking for the
single and double rooms is secured until
end of May. The rooms are attributed on a “first come first served” basis.

The prices quoted include:
- accommodation for 1 night including breakfast
- 2 lunches and one dinner (3 course meal; mineral
water; coffee)
- 2 coffee breaks per day with coffee, tea, fruit juice,
fruits, croissants, and cake
- seminar fee including the technical
material/installations
People arriving already on Wednesday
evening or wishing to extend their stay for the week-end will be charged an
additional 135 CHF (superior) / 60 CHF (standard double
occupation) per person per night for accommodation (including the breakfast buffet).
