The 2010 CHIPP Annual
Plenary Meeting will take place on 23 and 24 August 2010 at the Paradieshotel
Rotschuo in Gersau (Canton Schwyz). The meeting will start at 10 am on the
first day and end at about 4.30 pm on the second.
The Paradieshotel Rotschuo
offers a 5-star service at a unique 6-star location on the shore of Lake
Lucerne. The seminar rooms are equipped with all the technology needed nowadays
including W-LAN (Monzoon – to be accessed through the VPN connections of
your individual universities). All hotel rooms face south and are overlooking
Lake Lucerne; they have a balcony, individual bathrooms, telephones, radio and
TV. The in- and outdoor restaurants serve very nice food. A small indoor swimming pool,
sauna and sport activities like table tennis are available free of charge;

Access:
A public bus service (1-2
busses per hour) connects Rotschuo with either the railway stations of Brunnen
or Kuessnacht am Rigi or with the Weggis landing place of the boat service on
Lake Lucerne (for direct connections from/to Lucerne). Approximate travel times are
as follows:
- Zurich: 1h40
- Berne: 2h10
- Basel: 2h40
- Lausanne: 3h20
- Geneva: 4h00
The Hotel provides courtesy
car or bus transport from and to the two nearest railway stations mentioned
above, if required.
Those who have registered
and have indicated the use of public transport will be contacted in July for
traveling details (see also www.sbb.ch)
including the possible bus shuttle service.
For people traveling by
car, a car park is available (for road instructions see the Hotel's website).

Accommodation and registration:
The block booking for the
single and double rooms is extended till 20th of June. The rooms are attributed on a
"first come first served" basis.

The prices quoted include:
- accommodation for 1 night including breakfast buffet
- 2 lunches and one dinner (3 course meals to be chosen
from three offers; without drinks)
- 2 coffee breaks per day with coffee, tea, fruit juice,
fruits, cookies, ice cream and cake
- mineral water in the meeting rooms
- seminar fee including the technical
material/installations
People arriving already on
Sunday evening will be charged an additional 140 CHF for accommodation
(including the breakfast buffet). Check-in on Sunday evening should be done
preferably before 9 pm.

In order to benefit from
the block booking, please register at the latest by 20th of June by clicking here.
Beyond that date, the rooms are put back on the "regular" market.
